Girls vs. "Ekranas" 2:2 (FKE TV)

The national champion “Ekranas” visited “Vyturys” progymnasium on Thursday. Here the players discussed with the students about healthy lifestyle, nutrition of sportsmen and influence of bad habits on the young body.

Aurimas Kučys, Tadas Markevičius, Tadas Kauneckas, team physiotherapist Ramunas Širvinskas and coach Valdas Dambrauskas came to the meeting. The guests were met by crammed “Vyturys” progymnasium legislative hall: students who were late, sat on windowsills, or near walls.Girls performed a special dance on the stage and then asked “Ekranas” prepared questions.

Coach Valdas Dambrauskas in detail told about a healthy diet, what athletes eat to be strong and full of energy. Students learned what foods are necessary for intense training components: fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Later, physiotherapist Ramunas told about his work: he helps athletes' muscles recover after strenuous physical exercise or injury. The players said what do they like doing at free time, which victory was the most memorable, what places do they like visiting in Panevezys they also emphasized healthy eating and living habits.

At the end of the discussion, students gave some questions to "Ekranas", for which the first to answer was given champions’ scarves. Of course, it was not an end, how can something happen without football! "Ekranas" had to fight against ... girls' team. A friendly match was followed by a full gym, and it ended peacefully - 2:2. “Ekranas” was not so easy to rip out a victory, because there was all the girl team playing against them, all ten girls. The country's champions were first to score, but later girls equalized the result, that hadn’t changed till the end.

Both teams exchanged symbolic gifts, and then the national champion took pictures with students for more than fifteen minutes and were giving autographs. Undoubtedly, this is not the last “Vyturys” progymnasium and "Ekranas" meetings.
