Valdas Urbonas: "You check you capabilities when I meet such an opponent"
On Wednesday, FC "Ekranas" is playing a third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League against “Anderlecht” Brussels. Panevezys head coach Valdas Urbonas admits that his team does not have a lot of advantages in a duel with the Belgian champions, but says that quality gaps can be strengthen with determined character.
Valdas Urbonas: "Anderlecht" is a high-skilled team. We analyzed their game. Our only advantage might be that the opponents’ season has just begun. Of course, the team is very strong. When one meet with such an opponent, you check your potential. I think I don’t need to set my players for such matches, because they realize that the view might be very sad in another way.
You can’t choose the lot casting and an opponent, on the other hand, everything becomes clear in the pitch. There is no use in talking about the lots again. We have an opponent and preparing for the match.
The result would be satisfying if it let us hope to continue the fight in Vilnius and get into the next stage.
