Belgian champions closer look

This is the most successful Belgian football club; in its history, it won five trophies at the prestigious European tournaments. Played in the supreme league for 80 times, won the country championship for 31 times and won the Cup for 9 times.

History. The club was founded in 1908, by a few football fans in Sporting Club Anderlechtois Café, located in the Brussels suburb of Anderlecht. Successfully playing in 1909 the team decided to join the official competition. The team began play in regional matches, a year later moved to a higher division.
